Join Race4Chase at the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon

Join the Race4Chase Team 

You can join the Race4Chase team for the TCS New York City Marathon in one of two ways:

1- Runners Requesting a Charity Bib

2- Runners already granted entry into marathon (At-Large Runners)

Option 1: Runners Requesting a Charity Bib

Athletes seeking one of the limited charity bibs must meet the following requirements:

1.Application

Apply for one of the 30 charity bibs assigned to the CMAK Foundation by completing our application: 2026 TCS New York City Marathon Race4Chase Team Charity Bib Application

*Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

2. Fundraising commitment 

Commit to raising a minimum of $5000 for the CMAK Foundation

3. Marathon Registration

 Once selected, athletes must complete official marathon registration and pay all required entry fees. Registration must be completed within two weeks of acceptance. Instructions will be provided upon notification. 

4.  Fundraising Page Setup
Within two weeks of acceptance, athletes must create an official CMAK fundraising page through Zeffy. All fundraising must be recorded through this platform, including offline donations submitted to CMAK for tracking. Instructions will be provided upon selection. 

5.Training Updates
Provide monthly updates on training progress. 

Option 2: Runners with Guaranteed Entry (At-Large Runners)

Athletes who already have marathon entry through other means may apply to join the Race4Chase Team under the following guidelines

1. Application

2.Fundraising Commitment

Commit to raising a minimum of $2,500 for the CMAK Foundation.

3. Registration Responsibility

All marathon registration requirements and fees are the responsibility of the athlete

4. Training Updates

 Provide monthly updates on training progress. 

5. Fundraising Page Setup

 Athletes must create an official Zeffy fundraising page to track all donations. Offline donations received by CMAK will be added to the athlete’s page. Setup instructions will be provided upon acceptance. 

 Use of Funds:

All donations raised through the Race4Chase Team directly support CMAK Foundation programs, including the Race4Chase Kids Triathlon Program 

What Accepted Athletes Receive

All accepted team members will receive:

• A FREE Race4Chase Team singlet (must be worn on race day)
• Comprehensive Marathon Training Program 
• Access to bi-weekly Group Zoom Sessions for coaching guidance by our RRCA and VDOT certified Coaches Jeanne and Kim Marchand
• An invitation to the Race4Chase Team Brunch on the Saturday before the marathon
• Additional Race4Chase swag
• Fundraising support and guidance from the CMAK Foundation, to the best of our ability

Chase Kowalski was an amazing son, brother, and friend who was taken from us on 12/14/12 in the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. Chase’s heart was filled with love and he touched all of the people that he came into contact with. He loved sports of all kinds and had an incredibly competitive spirit. Among Chase’s favorite sports were baseball, auto racing, and running. Chase began running competitively at age 2 in track races. At age 6, Chase asked to be entered into his first triathlon – in his first-ever competition, he took on the field and won his age group!    

He has inspired the Race4Chase Kids Triathlon Program which will serve close to 900 young athletes ages 6-12 years this summer to become triathletes!  Many of the participants learn to swim or bike during the program. Learn More
