Join the Race4Chase Team in Two Ways

1- Runners requiring charity bib

2- Runners already granted entry into marathon through other means

Requirements:

1- Runners requiring charity bib

A. Apply for one of the twenty charity bibs assigned to the CMAK Foundation before July 1st by completing the following application: 2024 TCS New York City Marathon Race4Chase Team Charity Bib Application. Must be minimum 18 years of age to apply.

B. Commit to raising a minimum $4,500 for the CMAK Foundation

C. Once selected for one of the bibs, runners must register for the marathon paying for all entry fees associated. Athletes must complete registration within two weeks of receiving notice of acceptance. Information on how to register will be provided at the time of notification by CMAK that the athlete is selected for one of the bibs.

D. Provide CMAK with monthly updates on athletes training progress.

E. Athletes must open an official CMAK 2024 TCS New York City Marathon Haku online fundraising page within two weeks of notice of acceptance, where all fundraising must be recorded either through donations on the site or off line donations received by CMAK who will record them on the fundraising page of the athlete. Information on how and where to set up the Haku page will be provided by CMAK upon notification of selection of the athlete. Both creating and fundraising through the haku profile will need to start within the two weeks of notice of acceptance.

2- Runners (At Large) already granted entry into marathon through other means 

A. Apply to join the Race4Chase Team by completing the following: 2024 TCS New York Marathon Race4Chase Team Application

B. Commit to raising a minimum $2,250 for the CMAK Foundation.

C. All registration requirements are the responsibility of the athlete.

D. Provide CMAK with monthly updates on athletes training progress.

E. Athletes must open a Haku online fundraising page where all fundraising must be recorded either through donations on the site or off line donations received by CMAK who will record them on the fundraising page of the athlete. Information on how and where to set up the Haku page will be provided by CMAK upon notification of selection of the athlete.

* All Donations received will be used to support CMAK Sandy Hook Memorial Foundation programs including the Race4Chase Kids Triathlon Program

Accepted athletes to receive:

1- FREE Race4Chase Team singlet which must be worn by each athlete during the race. 

2- FREE Race4Chase cap for the event (does not have to be worn by the athlete during the race) 

3- Invitation to the FREE Race4ChaseTeam brunch on Saturday morning prior to the Marathon…place to be determined but most likely in Manhattan. 

4- FREE Supply of Generation UCAN energy products for race day fueling.

5- Other SWAG

7- Assistance by the CMAK Foundation to the best of its abilities with any fundraising events organized by the athlete.

Chase Kowalski was an amazing son, brother, and friend who was taken from us on 12/14/12 in the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. Chase’s heart was filled with love and he touched all of the people that he came into contact with. He loved sports of all kinds and had an incredibly competitive spirit. Among Chase’s favorite sports were baseball, auto racing, and running. Chase began running competitively at age 2 in track races. At age 6, Chase asked to be entered into his first triathlon – in his first-ever competition, he took on the field and won his age group!    

He has inspired the Race4Chase Kids Triathlon Program which will serve close to 900 young athletes ages 6-12 years this summer to become triathletes!  Many of the participants learn to swim or bike during the program. Learn More
